What does the cross have to do with motherhood? Everything.
What distinctively Christian hope do we have as moms without the atoning sacrifice of Jesus and his triumphant resurrection? Nothing.
So... why is it so hard for busy moms to see how the gospel relates to our everyday lives of smearing butter on toast, supervising homework, and answering the persistent "why?" questions?
I've attempted to answer that question and a few more in this interview on the Secret Church blog where they are doing a series on the cross and everyday life in preparation for the upcoming Secret Church on April 18th.
